Description

Word Of Life merge specific music traditions and rhythmical patterns into the aggressive sound of metal, creating a blend and sound unique to the band itself. Jahbulon is the amalgam of progressive metal with Greek and Eastern elements that sit alongside both melodic and death/black metal vocal work. The album sounds heavy and mystical and aspires to vibrate and infiltrate you with energies from the past.

Inspired by the ancient mysteries of Greece, East and Egypt, the whole act is veiled in Esoteric and Occult symbolism and beneath these allegories lay the true essence of Jahbulon – the Triune entity. This is the true and central theme of the album. When you discover the true meaning of the the “Union of the Three”, you shall find the true knowledge of self.

The cover artwork is by Giannis Nakos (Remedy Art Design).
The album was recorded at Bree Studio, Athens, Greece and mixed and mastered by Bill Kranos.

Riffs. Fat, chunky, bossy, trippy, and hypnotic riffs drive this album, and there are plenty here for the liking. Progressive/Melodic Death Metal is perhaps a decent start to describe the sounds on “Jahbulon,” but there is so much more going on. There are some real classic and traditional influences here as well, like I mentioned earlier in the review, as well as some NWOBHM and very noticeable Doom elements. They combine them in a way that pulses with their individuality as a band …read more

Ajánlott anyag …read more
