Description
Chugun was forged in Tel Aviv, Israel in 2010. In the end of 2013 the band released three demo singles, and began performing. Their energetic and convincing performances brought Chugun to the Israeli Wacken Metal Battle finals in spring of 2014 – only four months after their first performance. After the Metal Battle finals, Chugun began the recording process of their debut album. The album, entitled Virus, was released in 2015, and it got a warm reception and positive reviews from bloggers and webzines worldwide. The word Chugun means Cast Iron in Russian, and it perfectly describes the blunt aggression of their music, which combines the savage speed and aggression of old school Thrash/Death Metal with modern Metal grooves.
