In 2014, Alessio (aka. NeroArgento ) started the electro metal/industrial band, The Silverblack with Claudio Ravinale. The Silverblack have already released 2 albums on Sliptrick Records, the first in 2015 and most recently, “The Silverblack” in September 2016. Now it’s time for NeroArgento to step out once again for his third solo album “One Against All” . In 2015 NeroArgento began a modeling and acting career, working with several international brands like Dainese, Les Benjamins, M Collective and Tony&Guy while also taking part in several international events like Milano Fashion Week. In 2016, together with his friend Luca Salerno, he started the high fashion clothing line “Noir D’argent” and a great #futurepunk project which includes their vinyl record release. Earlier this year, The album had it’s Japanese release and we’re proud to announce that Sliptrick Records (in conjunction with the One Against all agency) have the album worldwide on December 13th, 2016. HEARTACHE | Skyscrapers And Firefalls

Progressive rock, metal with a slight pop flavour are entwined into melodies that become a match made in Heaven. BAD BONES | Demolition Derby

Review: These days it seems that whenever a rock band puts out an album there is an expectation that it should be ‘experimental’ or ‘different.’ But what about back when most of us fell in love with rock. Think back to the 80s, back then when you parted with your hard-earned and bought a rock album you wanted something fun and something that you could sing along to. Rock was simple, but boy it was bloody fun. While some bands these days are taking the ‘experimental’ road Italian rockers Bad Bones are going back to the time when things were a little more simple. The result is Demolition Derby one of the finest damn rock albums of 2016. Bad Bones don’t mess around, they know what a rock fan wants… an album they can stick their teeth into and perhaps even play some air guitar to and that my friends Demolition Derby delivers in loads. The first thing that hits you about Bad Bones is how American these Italians sound. Opening track Me Against Myself launches into an American rock sound that wouldn’t sound out of place on that famous Top Gun soundtrack while thoughts of early Bon Jovi are conjured up as leader singer Max Malmerenda preaches to the converted with the line ‘rock and roll ain’t going to die.’ ‘Some Kind Of Blues’ sees Bad Bones get a little darker and poetic as they talk about ‘snakes in the garden’ but ‘Stronger’ sees guitarist Serjoe Aschieris reach full flight with some screaming solos that certainly puts his talents on show for all to see. Those talents are also on show during the very catchy ‘A Perfect Alibi’. One of the better tracks on the album is ‘Rambling Heart’ where the looping guitar sound and Malmerenda’s whispering vocals allows Bad Bones to create their own ‘thing’ for awhile but then the band returns to that classic 80s rock sound on ‘Shoot You Down’ and the power ballad ‘Red Sun.’ Bad Bones are certainly a rock band to watch. Their willingness to not bow to conformity and instead deliver that classic rock sound of the past should be enough to see their fourth album make a big splash in Australia. This is the kind of rock album that radio stations like Triple M need to be adding to their playlist because this is a band that every rock fan in Australia needs to know about ASAP. Review: An atmospheric soundscape intro starts off the album along with a small amount of spoken word samples before going into more of a heavier direction which also uses death metal growls while the riffing also mixes in elements of djent and modern thrash along with a decent amount of melody. Touches of groove metal are also mixed in the vocals while the guitar leads are done in a very dark yet melodic fashion along with spoken word samples also being used briefly and when the music speeds up a decent amount of blast beats can be heard along with the main focus being more on a mid tempo style and on the last track the vocals get semi melodic. Scum plays a musical style that takes death metal and mixes it with a modern form of thrash metal to create a sound of their own, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover Hatred, Depression and Anti Religion themes. PRECIPITATION | The Power Of...

Post-Prog and Melodic Death Metal blended into one incendiary meat-grinder of a band. Precipitation's debut album The Power Of.. is a dirty work of art straight from the engine of Europe, Germany. Review: Being a death metal fan, this album got me excited a lot and it did not disappoint me in any way. The first thing that shocked me is that the intro track had a more blues style guitar solos, and I thought someone mis-genred the band, but the subsequent tracks proved me wrong. Most songs start with a clean guitar part, and that does give a characteristic feel to the songs, even though the beginnings to the songs tend to get a bit repetitive and can sound the same if you listen to the album a few times in a row. The recording quality of the album is superb, the instruments are clearly heard in all times and even the most complicated riffs are heard nicely and all notes are fluid going. The guitars are not destroyed by compression and are sharp with the distortion and even the clean guitars sound great, and even a bit jazz/blues sound in the clean guitar. The bass is a bit inaudible, but it is a great filler in the riffs and since the riffs do not give a lot of room for the bass to stand out. The drums are mixed in perfectly, the accentuation in the riffs are great and that is a thing not really heard in modern metal today. All in all, the album is great, and if you are into some more modern death metal/melodic death metal this is certainly for you, and it will shock you at the first listen. I give this album a 8.5/10. MARIANAS REST | Horror Vacui

The dark shores of the Baltic Sea are home to gloomy melancholy and a place where many sad stories have come to an inevitable end. Still, on rare occasions new life emerges from the sea. Review: Tytus are a zesty, merry Italian bunch of Heavy Metal musicians that do things in their own unique way. They formed in 2014 and released a 2-track 7" in 2015. After more than one and a half years of touring across Europe and recording, they finally released their debut full-length, Rises , in October 2016. This album is diversified and versatile, which is far from being generic straightforward Heavy Metal. The songs don't follow a certain pattern or formula, and they stand out as distinct pieces. They blend what appears to be dynamic songwriting that sometimes reminds me of Virgin Steele with the quirky and entertaining touch of Slough Feg. The vocals are slightly snarly and gritty, which is just right, accompanied with ample attitude. After a mandatory intro that neither adds nor spends, New Frontier , fires the opening shot. An effective riff and smart hooks are at work here and they interact throughout the track. The guitar solo is excellent and has a certain bluesy feel to it reminiscent of late 1960's Acid Rock. Next in line is Haunted , a rhythmic NWOBHM-ish track which is more straightforward than its former. The band sounds alert and appears to have well-calculated course of flight. The tempo is slightly slowed in 325 A.D. , which starts with atmospheric keys that soon transform into a hypnotizing guitar riff, with a complementing big and epic chorus. I find the overall sound excellent and the mix is pretty balanced, although the bass is not audible enough for my liking. White Lines has a certain retro vibe that sounds as if taken straight from Hawk's mid-1980's S/T – slightly whining guitars, hinted glam overtones and engaging shredding solos. The beginning of Omnia Sunt Communia made me think of Iron Maiden's "Futureal" but it continues rather differently. Many influences are apparent here but none feel like attempts to copy – there is simply a bunch of good musicians who did their homework, but they also have their own taste and wills and a well-defined direction. Nothing compliments artists more than a signature sound that identifies them, and Tytus undoubtedly achieves just that. All their skills come to fruition in Inland View – strong riffs, magnetizing hooks, interesting interludes and changes of pace and impressive guitar solos. This is the most "complete" and epic song in this album and my personal favorite. The structure of Desperate Hopes follows the tradition of 1980's pioneering Power Metal works with a sweeping galloping riff throughout, and even more sweeping solo in the faster final section. New Dawn's Eve begins with spoken word that transform into energetic and heavy Rock 'n' Roll. The final track is an acoustic piece, which, although not really belongs stylistically on this album, is soothing and enjoyable in itself. To me, there is an undeniable David Gilmour influence and it's something that could be easily expected from Pink Floyd. So, this is Tytus – they are talented and know how to showcase their skills tastefully without making it sound like forced patchwork. They aim directly at my personal taste in Heavy Metal – high performance and highly dynamic songwriting that is easy to identify with and is not too progressive to disperse my interest. VEONITY | Into The Void

Review: It warms my heart to see younger bands trying their hand at the European melodic power metal style popularized in the late 1990s and early 2000s, but largely forsaken over the last decade or so. In the interests of clarity, I’m not talking about the strain of Euro power metal featuring layers upon layers of keyboards, weak high-pitched vocals, frilly shirts and tra la la melodies. No, the kind of Euro power metal I love – and that is vastly underrepresented in the marketplace today – is the guitar-driven, stout-riffing, anthemic-chorus kind of stuff that traces its lineage directly to the likes of early Helloween, Attack, Scanner, Iron Savior, Hammerfall, early Nocturnal Rites, early Steel Attack, early Nostradameus, Freternia, Ironware, Morifade, and so on, with nods to early Stratovarius/Sonata Arctica along the way (see the song “Frozen” for some prime Strat worship, but the keyboard quotient in most of the other tracks is far lower). Veonity is part of a new generation of bands that aims to keep that particular flame burning. The Swedes’ debut album, Gladiator’s Tale , released last year on Spain’s Sliptrick Records quite properly turned some heads and started some buzz. Striking while the iron’s hot, the lads are already back with their second full-length album, entitled Into the Void . A few things have changed this time around. Most notably, rather than using session vocalists like they did on Gladiator’s Tale , Veonity guitarist Anders Skold has taken over the lead vocal duties himself. In all honesty, he does a fantastic job, with his clear, powerful, charismatic voice being sufficiently strong that it makes me wonder why he didn’t handle the lead vocals from the outset. (Probably because playing guitar and singing these songs at the same time may be hellishly difficult, but that’s just a guess.) Also, Veonity have jettisoned the gladiator concept in favor of a dystopian space-themed record about a refugee from the dying Earth who discovers new life and hope in deep space. If you’re thinking “that sounds like the kind of story Iron Savior might write,” well, Veonity apparently had the same idea because no less a luminary than Piet Sielck (the undisputed king of sci-fi themed Euro power metal with balls) appears and contributes guest vocals on one song ( Awake , which also features a pounding Iron Savior-approved guitar riff). What hasn’t changed, however, is Veonity’s commitment to quality songwriting, killer anthems, big swelling singalong choirs, powerful guitars and plenty of speed. Into the Void ticks all the right boxes for aficionados of European melodic power metal. The choir-fueled choruses on nearly every song are addictive, the songs are littered with catchy melodies, fine neoclassical guitar solos appear often, and Veonity aren’t afraid to crank up the double-bass drums on a good many tracks. Opener When Humanity is Gone goes right into Gamma Ray “Beyond the Black Hole”-meets-Sonata-Arctica mode, which is a nice way to kick things off. In addition to being a strong tune with a massive speedy chorus, Solar Storm bears the distinction of lyrics that not-so-subtly namecheck some of Veonity’s biggest influences (Hammerfall, Gamma Ray, Heavenly, Freedom Call). Very clever, guys, and good for you for making the hat tip explicit. It’s always right to give credit to those who paved the way. Pre-release singles In the Void and Warriors Of Time are simply monster hymns that capture the essence of Veonity beautifully, the latter channeling a certain Kai Hansen vibe circa the mighty ‘Somewhere Out in Space’ record, albeit with the big Hammerfall-type choirs. Oh, and just try to listen to the punchy, mid-paced Heart on Fire without singing along to that chorus. I dare you. It’s just not possible. The production job, courtesy of Ronny Milianowicz and Veonity, is very clear and clean, pristine and powerful, with the guitars and vocals out front just like they should be for this kind of music If there’s a criticism to be leveled at Into the Void , it’s that Veonity have made a very safe melodic power metal record that hews closely to both genre conventions and the band’s influences. I can overlook that shortcoming, however, when everything is executed as superbly as Veonity have done here. This really is an expertly conceived, written and performed European power metal album, so it’s little wonder that some corners of the Internet find Veonity awash in breathless plaudits and ovations. The other potential downside is that at 12 songs and 55 minutes, Into the Void really does feel longer than it needs to be, and perhaps wears out its welcome before the mighty “Winds of Faith” puts an exclamation point on the proceedings. But the fundamental truth remains that Veonity have crafted an exceptional album of happy, uplifting, but still powerful Swedish power metal that is certain to warm the hearts of devotees of the style.
